1)Clear your outside space

Open out the space and expand the area by trimming back any unruly area’s, ensure that if your potential purchasers arrive, the front of the house is empty of any childrens equipment, gardening or household waste and cars. You may be clearing out all your closets but prospective buyers don’t need to see it. It is typically men who notice how easily maintained the garden is and having an unkempt or overgrown garden can really put them off.

2)Add some colour

Where ever possible, make your space seem appealing by adding some floral decoration. A simple touch is to buy some pots or maybe a hanging basket and plant colourful beautiful plants and for however long you need it will add a certain appeal. Do not use heavily scented flowers as people have personal preferences and the wrong plant could leave the wrong lasting impression. The best part of pots or baskets is they are relatively inexpensive and you can always take them to a new home.

3)Edging the space

The edging of your garden should be kept well depending upon the type of space you have. If your house has only a small amount of outside space, blurring the edges with some taller plants but not too large can change the perspective and it may be worth painting the walls a lighter colour. It can brighten the space, but ensure the paint you use is neutral and in keeping with the rest of the property’s overall look. If your garden is on the larger side, point out the size, with clearly defined boundaries ensuring that all fencing is in good repair and freshly painted or any brickwork is perfect.

4)The entertainment space

If your outside space is looking good, use it to your advantage by creating a scene. Have a well maintained and stylish barbeque displayed with garden furniture set out, as if you use the space to entertain and relax frequently, even if this is not something you would do most prospective purchasers are looking for the dream rather than the reality. If you have the benefit of sunshine, maximise the effect by offering refreshment when they reach the back garden and invite them to sit and make themselves at home.

5)Water features

If you have the chance and money is not really a problem then add something just a little bit special for that extra effect by purchasing a self contained water feature that is both attractive and compliant for children, it can make the memorable feature that means your property streaks ahead of the others in the same price area.
